About
Kathryn Davies is an abstract artist whose work transforms life’s chaos into vibrant expressions of joy and tranquility. After rediscovering her passion for art later in life, Kathryn has found her voice through dynamic layers of color, texture, and emotion. Her pieces are a celebration of resilience, happiness, and the beauty of everyday moments.
Kathryn’s journey back to painting was sparked by two transformative experiences. A painting from her former grandfather-in-law’s Inverness Series first introduced her to the power of abstract expressionism, igniting a fascination with art’s ability to connect beyond words. Years later, an encounter with melanoma skin cancer became the catalyst that brought her back to the canvas. Immobilized during recovery, Kathryn turned to painting as a way to heal, process, and reconnect with herself.
Balancing her art practice with a busy professional life, Kathryn pours her energy into creating pieces that resonate deeply with viewers. Her work invites people to pause and experience moments of joy, offering a visual reminder of light, beauty, and calm in an often chaotic world.
Based in Florida, Kathryn creates original paintings and series that inspire connection and transformation. Her art is a reflection of her journey—one of resilience, rediscovery, and an enduring love for the creative process.
